Plans, notes and todos your agents can read
Aiola puts plans, notes and todos beside coding agents in one macOS and Windows desktop app. Agents read the note you have open, so you stop pasting notes into prompts.
Key facts
Write the plan before the code
Plan uses blocks for headings, checklists, toggles and quotes. Import a Markdown file as a new plan, or append it to the current one. Plans group by branch or worktree context.
Give agents your notes without copying them
Notes holds searchable, pinnable documents under aiola/notes in the repository. Side chat sends the active note to the agent. Inside a note, # mentions link tasks and project records.
Keep quick todos apart from agent tasks
Todo is one lightweight checklist that reloads after an agent changes it. Tasks holds the work you want an agent to run, with statuses and run modes. You no longer need a notes app beside a task board.
Follow the workflow
- Open Notebook in the workspace; it starts on Plan.
- Write the goal and split the work into small parts.
- Switch to Notes and save the decisions an agent should know.
- Open side chat and ask about the current note.
- Create a task for each part you want an agent to build.
- Use Todo for quick reminders and clear completed rows.
What to review at the end
- A written plan you can revisit while coding.
- Notes an agent reads without you copying them into each prompt.
- Agent tasks and a checklist for the work you chose.

Errors, user feedback, GitHub and analytics live next to your coding agents in one desktop app. Every issue becomes a task an agent can take.
